The Dream Year is our year off to travel across and around the U.S. Our primary plan is to...make our plans along the way. To meander and savor. Traveling in small vehicles -- a 21 foot Class B RV, a separate trip in a 26 foot motor-sailboat, with bicycles, and an inflatable kayak -- to large open spaces like state and national parks and the Intracoastal Waterway. Follow us on our journey. Barbara and Alan

I am very impressed, both with the trail you hiked/climbed, and your acclimatization to using some of your numerous electronic gadgets (though it seems you've gone a little post-happy in the last few days).
I'm not sure if I said you'd be disappointed by the Corn Palace... I was, but only because Corn Palace is a definite misnomer. I think I was envisioning something like that house we visited where everything was made of paper (bed, piano, etc), only with corn and on a massive scale.
More power to ya. I'm afraid the days for those kind of hikes is past for me, if they ever were. Glad to see all the photos of recent posts and loved talking to you by Skype on Sat night.
Keep on trekkin'.
Love,
Susan (the Vestal one)

It's great to see that you have launched into your big adventure. Looking forward to hearing about many more stops and experiences. I have been back from Colorado for a little over a week. The trip was more than I could have imagined and will do it again in the future. Rosemary and I are heading for Cape May on Thursday. We just finished patching 6 new holes in the canvas thanks to the local rodent population.
